My Story

          Rokya Kali Ouattara stands as a beacon of cultural exchange and artistic excellence, serving as the Founder, President, and Assistant Artistic Director of Chigata Art Institute. With over 20 years of international dance experience, Ouattara's journey began at the Dance and Cultural Exchange School in Ivory Coast, where her passion for African dance ignited. She honed her skills and earned her Certificate in African Dance and Acting, propelling her into a remarkable career spanning Africa and Europe. Collaborating with esteemed choreographers like Helene Stuart, Kosua Ghiamph, and Nana Wilson, Ouattara's performances have graced stages worldwide, inspiring audiences with her evocative storytelling and dynamic choreography.

          In addition to her extensive dance background, Kalli Rokia Ouattara also obtained multiple Artistic diplomas and Certificates, including the Higher Artistic Technician Certificate in French known as BTSA Brevet de Technicien Superieur Artistique. Her pursuit of artistic excellence led to her acquiring the Higher Artistic Aptitude Certificate, showcasing her mastery and dedication to her craft. Ouattara's talents were further recognized when she received the Prize for the best actress at Festifee 2000, during the 2nd Edition of Afrique Theater, highlighting her versatility and artistic prowess across different performance genres.

A dedicated educator and mentor, Ouattara's affinity for working with children shines through her commitment to arts education and community engagement, leaving an enduring impact on generations to come. Her multifaceted background and expertise contribute significantly to the holistic approach taken by Chigata Art Institute in nurturing the talents and potential of neurodivergent children worldwide.
